We are a community dedicated to inner transformation and celebration.

With meditation, self-observation and emotional support at the heart of what we offer, trust develops, healing happens and you leave with a renewed sense of purpose and passion for life.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a safer space for you to flourish and live your full potential as a human being. With meditation, self-observation and emotional support at the heart of what we offer, trust develops, healing happens and you leave with a renewed sense of purpose and passion for life.

Our History

Osho Leela was founded in 1996 by Dhyano and Fiona Harding. Their vision was to create Paradise on Earth. They rented a farm in mid Dorset and within a short time, a flourishing community had developed around them. It became the home of the first Humaniversity Therapist Training in the UK and alongside this, a varied program of events and celebrations began to grow.

In 2000, we bought our current home, Thorngrove, a big house in the north Dorset countryside with a camp site and 17 acres of land. We put down our roots here, developing gardens, planting 2000 trees, building cabins and expanding a little more every year.

Over our 25 years we have developed a huge range of workshops, festivals, trainings and inhouse programs. The community continues to grow and we are firmly on the map as one of the UK’s leading Personal Development centres.

Osho

Osho, the Indian mystic, inspired a generation of spiritual seekers blending eastern mysticism together with western psychotherapy. His communities around the world have attracted thousands of people ‘on the path,’ and continue to be catalysts for profound transformation.

Our Grounds

Osho Leela is deeply connected to the soul of nature, the grounds are an essential part of our identity as a centre and permeate everything we do. Whether you’re here for a weekend workshop, a festival, or our longer residential programmes, you will not leave without feeling touched by their tranquility.

We are situated on 18 acres of land, with ancient trees, small forests and a wildflower meadow. We also have a vegetable garden created with permaculture principles, and an apple orchard.

As a community we’re passionate about the land, and gardens in a way that is in tune with nature, without the use of any chemical fertilisers or pesticides. On the land we created sacred spots for ritual, ceremony or simply to be in silence and be in nature.

We started growing our own organic. We now have 3 polytunnels which provides greens all year around.

If you venture outside of the Osho Leela site, via a short drive or longer cycle ride, you will find several rivers suitable for wild swimming. There are some spectacular walks in the local countryside, and the Jurassic Coast beaches are an hour’s drive away.
