Warm Winter Gathering
A Cosy Imbolc Celebration
Togetherness – Creativity – Nature Connection
With Bayari, Amiya, Alannah & Shyen
Thursday 1st February – Sunday 4th February
Join us for a weekend full of connection, as we gather together in community, for some warmth and replenishment to help us through the end of winter.
Still cold and dark, it’s such a precious time of year to get cosy, sit around the fire, share stories and warm drinks, and tune into where we’re at and what we need.
We’ll be offering lots of nourishing goodies, to stoke the fires of our hearts and creativity, and to tune in with the special land here at this time.
We’ll explore the cycles of nature, and themes of Imbolc through practices of; movement, alchemising rituals, earth magic, bushcraft, nature walks, writing, dance, silence, sharing circles, and space to rest and relax.
There’ll be opportunities to start integrating the lessons of winter and to continue nurturing and tending to the seeds and intentions that will start to blossom in the coming Spring.
What is Imbolc?
Imbolc is a threshold point on the ‘Wheel of the Year’. It’s a traditional Celtic festival that celebrates this seasonal period – where the buzz of the festive season and New Year have quietened, but the promise of warm summer days is still far on the horizon.
Imbolc is a time of brewing and roughly translates to “in the belly”. In nature, this looks like the budding of snowdrops and wild garlic, the stirrings of new shoots, the first sprouting of the season, pregnant ewes, baby lambs and other whispers that Spring is on its way.
Traditionally around this time, families and communities would come together to light bonfires and candles, sit by the fire, sing, dance and support each other through the wet and cold.
During this Warm Winter Gathering, we’ll revive some of these practices and underlying energies. We’ll explore what Imbolc looks like in our own lives today, within our inner terrains and outer worlds.
