Osho Meditation Retreat

~ Action without Action ~

with Nishok, Archan and Prabuddho

and with live music from Tarisha & friends

Thursday 4th December till Sunday 7th December 2025

People come and ask me why I teach active meditations. Because that is the only way to find inaction: dance to the uttermost, dance in a frenzy, dance madly. And if your whole energy is involved in it, a moment comes when suddenly you see the dance is happening on its own, there is no effort in it, it is action without action.Osho

Immerse yourself in Osho’s amazing and simple active meditation techniques for the modern world.

Discover an alive, flowing experience of meditation, through movement, sound, expression, playfulness, celebration… and silence.

Explore a range of Osho Meditations, learning techniques to practise at home, and find insights into your true self.

Nourish the inner and relax into your being at this retreat in the beautiful Dorset countryside.

With Osho video talks in the evenings, live music and time for sharing.

The retreat is perfect for those encountering these meditations for the first time and perfect for those who wish to continue the journey.

OSHO Active Meditations®

Osho has experimented and scrutinised all the approaches of the past and examined their effects on the modern human being. He has responded to their shortcomings by creating a starting point for the hyperactive 21st century mind: OSHO Active Meditations®. Once the agitation of a modern lifetime has started to settle, “activity” can melt into “passivity”, a key starting point for of real meditation.
To support this next step, Osho has transformed the ancient “art of listening” into a subtle contemporary methodology: the OSHO Talks. Here words become music, the listener discovers who is listening, and the awareness moves from what is being heard to the individual doing the listening.

Some of Osho’s Active Meditations…

Dynamic – Osho’s breakthrough meditation, intense and enlivening

Nadabrahma – a humming meditation with gentle movement and silence

Kundalini – shake, dance and be still

Nataraj – dance as a total meditation

First you have to learn how to dance, and you have to put all your energies into dancing. And one day that strange experience happens when suddenly the dancer disappears in the dance and the dance happens without any effort. Then it is inaction. First you have to learn action to go into inaction. That’s what meditation is all about.

People come and ask me why I teach active meditations. Because that is the only way to find inaction: dance to the uttermost, dance in a frenzy, dance madly. And if your whole energy is involved in it, a moment comes when suddenly you see the dance is happening on its own, there is no effort in it – it is action without action.

Osho The Secret of Secrets #1

Meditation is not against action. It is not that you have to escape from life. It simply teaches you a new way of life: you become the center of a cyclone. Your life goes on, it goes on more intensely – with more joy, with more clarity, more vision, more creativity…
