The Leela
New Year Gathering
Ceremony – Celebration – Connection
with Bayari & Gayatri
You’re Invited!
Sunday 29th December 2024 – Thursday 2nd January 2025
How would you most like to spend this new year? Do you want to be in celebration and revelry? Or are you longing for reflection and stillness?
How about being in choice – you can have it all!
We are excited to introduce a new experience, where we bring the best of both worlds to you. The expressive and the receptive. The dynamic and the restorative. The yin and the yang: all held in the love, care and magic of Leela.
There will be a variety of spaces that speak to your mood and vibe in the moment.
To give you a taste of what’s in store…
YIN: Our facilitators & ceremonialists are bringing the aspect of ritual – marking the end of the year in a meaningful way. Our newly established yurt in the healing field is the perfect spot for this –and it’s right by our sacred fire, a portal for transformation and community connection.
YANG: Enjoy workshops offering creativity, fun, and connection in the daytime, and in the evenings coming together in celebration & togetherness.
And, of course, there’s the love-infused Leela food. Anticipate nourishing meals, delectable feasts and a fabulous New Year’s day brunch.

During the gathering we will:
Embrace Community Vibes: Shake off any festive stress, come and dance, share heartful hugs and sweet moments of connection.
Slow Down & Restore: Sink into beautiful yin offerings such as sound baths, nervous system reset and healing sessions. Leela is home to a thriving community, featuring skilled healers who offer these experiences to refresh and restore your spirit.
Experience ceremony in the Yurt: Join Sanjula in our new hand-crafted yurt, where you can journey into the new year in sacred silence and contemplate what lies ahead in your life.
Enjoy Elixirs and Dance: Imbibe deliciousness with Bayari at her magical tavern of elixirs and shake a tail-feather on the dance floor, where we have energetic tunes to dance the night away.
Reflect and Vision: Acknowledge your achievements and the crunchy moments of 2024, all cherished and celebrated, creating space for new visions and dreams to come through.
What’s the theme?
Your hosts for the Gathering are two Scottish sisters – Bayari and Gayatri. No-one celebrates Hogmanay like the Scots so the theme for New Year’s Eve is “Tartan & Sparkle”.
We will kick off the celebrations with a Ceilidh – the ultimate ice-breaker social experience. Gayatri and Bayari will share three of the most famous and favourite Scottish dances.
If you enjoy dressing up, here are some suggestions for the theme:
· Go Braveheart – sashes and swords, corsets and kilts, tweed and plaid, and wild romance.
· Go Bold – give a nod to the theme with the Scottish flag colours of blue and white, or the most traditional tartan colours of red and black.
· Go Glam – shine in your attire with sequins and sparkle, or whatever screams celebration.
The dressing up cupboard will be open to raid and the wonderful Shanna is offering face-painting for a Love Donation (bring cash).
And if dressing up isn’t your thing, don’t sweat it. Come in whatever makes you feel good.

Let’s come together…
This gathering is a fusion of all the exuberance of Zorba with the stillness of the Buddha. A place of new possibilities where the yin and yang dance and sometimes merge.
Reserve your place today and enter 2025 with an open heart and renewed spirit. We can’t wait to welcome you into our circle of love and transformation.
