Biodanza at Leela: A New Beginning

The Dance of Life Returns

with Niraj and Milarepa

Friday 3rd October – Sunday 5th October

After a 7-year break, Biodanza weekends are back at Leela! We’re thrilled to welcome Niraj back to the dance floor, this time joined by the joyful and vibrant Milarepa to co-lead a powerful, playful weekend of transformation, connection, and celebration.

Once a beloved monthly event, Biodanza is returning in full force, with fresh energy, a deeper mission, and the perfect duo at the helm. Expect music, movement, meaning… and a whole lot of magic.

What is Biodanza

Biodanza is a system of human integration, emotional development, and renewal through music, dance, and authentic connections.

Developed by Rolando Toro in the 1960s.

Biodanza encourages a joyful, expressive way of living that enhances well-being and deepens relationships with oneself and others.

This is not about performance. It’s about remembering your aliveness, moving from the heart, and reconnecting with your essential vitality.

Niraj Skilbeck, facilitator

Niraj co-leads the Dorset School of Biodanza alongside Milarepa Burgin, graduate of the first cycle of the training from 2008-2011 and is highly skilled at introducing people to the profound depths biodanza has to offer, such as sensitivity, sensuality, touch, affection and authentic expression. Using the medium of Biodanza, a series of dance, movements and exercises that create space for a deep experience within oneself and with others, each workshop is led as a vivencia, a space in which words are dropped and the deep wisdom of the body is entered.

Niraj has been involved in Biodanza since 1997, leads the teacher training program, and is also trained in the Osho Humaniversity training. He also has specialisation certificates to teach Biodanza and the Four Elements, Biodanza in Nature, Biodanza and Shamanism, AquaBiodanza, Biodanza for Children, Biodanza and Massage, Contact Education, The Heart of Transformation, the Minotaur Project and the Argonaut Mission. He has been involved in teaching Biodanza in 20+ countries.

Milarepa Burgin, facilitator

My first experience of Biodanza was with Niraj during the Spring Festival at Osho Leela in 2006. That initial vivencia had a deeply profound effect on my life, something which continues to resonate even now, and I remember saying to Niraj “if you ever decide to train people in this, you can count me in”.

After almost 20 years of dancing, with nearly 15 of those years as a facilitator, it feels that life has come full-circle as we now welcome a new cohort to Osho Leela to begin a new cycle of this incredible training. Whether you see yourself as a future teacher or simply want to enhance and enrich your own life with greater levels of expression and connection, the Biodanza facilitator training is, in my opinion, unparalleled in it’s depth and breadth and provides each participant with a unique insight into their own life and into the experience of living.

We look forward to welcoming you to the dance floor and to a deeper understanding of just what it is to be alive.

A Note on Presence

“I have zero interest in running anything where people are free to zone out and disconnect by getting their phone out and becoming distracted from the people and environment surrounding them. Therefore, anyone choosing to work with me opts in to a total digital detox—devices are handed in at check-in and returned upon departure. If this doesn’t work for you, please do not book. Thank you.”
