Emergent Eros: Intimacy through Community

Wednesday 11th June till Sunday 15th June

Bookings close on Friday 6th June

Offered for the second year running, Emergent Eros is a new paradigm in conscious sexuality events. Curated by Catherine Hale and Gayatri Beegan and inspired by a Culture of Care.

We root deep in embodiment and trauma-informed practice to provide solid ground for exploration.

We fly high on the wings of love and awareness to create heart-awakening soul-nourishing experiences.

This is where the magic happens.

The theme of this year is “Intimacy through Community”. Moving beyond the individualistic concept of personal growth into a collective intention of loving more and being more. Together.

How can I be myself with others?
Many folks have a deep longing for connection and community, yet so often our wounds get in the way. How do we foster intimacy in ways that bring authentic connection, expansive aliveness, and the embodied knowing that we belong?

As human beings we can feel a tension between individual authenticity and collective belonging.

The gift of authenticity is the courage to stand in your truth and unique expression. The shadow is the fixation on one’s own needs and the blind spots that arise from lack of loving reflection.

The gift of belonging is knowing your place in the web of life. The shadow is the pressure to “fit in” to feel safe, loved and accepted.

The individualisation of dominant mainstream culture reinforces the story of separation. We cannot integrate this in isolation. Only by coming together.

What if authenticity and belonging were not “either/or” but “both/and”? How might life look when you are moving on a fuller spectrum of experience?

Imagine a place where you get to…

Be comfortable and at ease in your body so that you can expand into deeper and richer experiences.

• Feel safe enough to lean into your edges without being pressured to push over them.

• Cultivate transformational intimacy practices that ripple out into every aspect of relating.

• Connect with the goodness of life through enriching encounters for body, heart and soul, so that there is more of you available for the world.

• Access a renewed sense of awe and wonder at the potential of life. Dancing in intimate relationship with All That Is.

What’s new for Emergent Eros 2025? Yang & Yin Streams

We’ve taken the feedback from the first Emergent Eros and evolved the offering to give you more choice, more agency, and more exploration.

The five-day festival follows a journey arc of arriving and resourcing, exploration, expansion, celebration, and integration. Over the course of the festival, you have the choice of two streams of experience: Yang and Yin.

Yang: raising energy up, the quality of fire, enlivenment and expansion

Yin: drawing energy down, the quality of water, nourishment and restoration.

Workshop to workshop you get to tune into what feels right for you. What is it that you most need?

What you can expect

We have invited our favourite transformational facilitators who are not only pioneers in their field but also committed to creating a “more beautiful world our hearts know is possible” (as said by Charles Eisenstein).

Facilitators of intimacy and relational practice, embodiment and movement, music and ecstatic dance, touch and eros, and sacred ceremonial space.

The festival will be further supported by the Care Team, sharing pods, and periods of integration and restoration.

Whilst we offer a schedule to give a sense of the journey we will embark upon together, the facilitation team will also be tuning into the collective field of the festival and adjusting according to the needs and vibe of the group.

Together we are creating a new way of Being.

Code of Engagement

The Code of Engagement is built upon the principles of a Culture of Care. Each code is offered to support a space that feels safe enough and an experience that enlivens our intimacy and eros. The Code of Engagement is an agreement between us as a community. When you join this event, you are agreeing to participate in and uphold the agreements of the space. You can read the full Code of Engagement here

The Pillars of our Togetherness

Curiosity, Playfulness & Innocence
Releasing the old scripts and stories around sexuality and returning to original innocence. Letting go of assumptions, expectations and preconceptions and inviting aliveness through curiosity and playfulness. Moving beyond what we think we know and expanding into the emergent moment.

Permission, Acceptance & Attunement
Permission to be you and to bring all of you into the space. Acceptance of difference in our embodiment and expression. Creating harmonious connections to Self, Other and Spirit.

Diversity & Inclusivity
We acknowledge that personal development spaces in the UK, particularly for Tantra and Sacred Sexuality events, are predominantly White, CIS-gendered, heterosexual and able-bodied.
We aim to foster an environment that supports all beings in moving beyond inherited societal conditioning and unconscious bias into a more inclusive and welcoming world. To support liberation for all.

Messiness & Humanity
We are not only individuals on our unique journey but also social animals in a collective space. We acknowledge the complex and sometimes messy business of human relating. Particularly when we are dismantling assumptions and pre-conceptions to imagine a better vision of humanity.

Awe & Reverence
Welcoming a wider spectrum of the human experience from grief and rage to joy and playful irreverence. Reconnecting with a sense of humility, awe and wonder.

Pricing, Reciprocity & Sustainability

There is a new paradigm emerging for transformational spaces. We – Catherine Hale and Gayatri Beegan – intend to establish a new standard for space-holding through a “Culture of Care”. One that acknowledges the attention given before the retreat starts, holding during the retreat, and integration required after the retreat ends. One that creates sustainability for the space-holders. One that better serves you the participant.

This requires a step up in pricing. We acknowledge that this may come as a surprise to folks used to more low-level financial investment for an event at Osho Leela. We have thought carefully about how to balance the need for holding the retreat sustainably with the desire to make these spaces accessible to as many people as possible.

We are offering the following pricing structure:

  • First Release – £475
  • Second Release – £550
  • Third Release – £600

There is a set number of tickets in each release. When they are gone, they are gone.

Bursary Ticket – £350
We have 10 bursary places available for people who are drawn to this retreat but would otherwise not be able to join due to limited access to financial resources. Such as being a solo parent, on welfare support, or someone who works for community, charity, or activist organisations (without other source of financial wealth). If you wish to be considered for a bursary place, please state this on your intake form and share more about your specific situation. We trust that only those who most need this special price will request it.

Payment Plans are available for all tickets to spread out the cost. Instalments must be complete before the 9th June 2025.

Emergent Eros is based in trauma-informed practice and a Culture of Care.

It means that we are ensuring – to the best of our capacity for such an event – the following:

  • you are ready and resourced to attend this event
  • you are supported to tune into your level of capacity and engagement before going to a workshop rather than pushing through
  • we programme in periods of rest and integration so that you get to digest each experience
  • we have a Code of Engagement for all participants to support group cohesion and safety.
  • we have a Code of Conduct for the Facilitation and Care Team to ensure commitment to serving the event
  • we have an awareness of and actively address the inherent power dynamics between Team and participants
  • we have an awareness of and actively address group dynamics and how this impacts participants choice and agency

We’ve taken the feedback from the first Emergent Eros and evolved the offering to give you more choice, more agency, and more exploration.

Over the course of the festival, you have the choice of two streams of experience: Yang and Yin.

Yang: raising energy up, the quality of fire, enlivenment and expansion

Yin: drawing energy down, the quality of water, nourishment and restoration

Workshop to workshop you get to tune into what feels right for you.

There will be a held space at night for sensual connection and exploration. The boundary of this space is “No penetration”.
We want to ensure readiness and resource for all participants BEFORE folks join. This is part of our Culture of Care.
Monthly payment plans are available for all ticket types. All payments must be complete before the event starts. The earlier you book, the more accessible the monthly payment.
You can view the refund/cancellation policy here.

Through the intake process, which may also include an interview, we are putting time and energy into the event way well in advance of the start. Therefore, we set the refund/cancellation periods to honour this time and energy. Thus creating an event that is energetically and financially sustainable.

The refund/cancellation policy is different from Osho Leela’s own cancellation policy.

We welcome people of all gender identification and sexual orientation.

The Facilitation and Care Teams are a mix of CIS-gender, heterosexual, gender-fluid and queer folks.

The demographic of people who come to events at OSHO Leela is primarily CIS-gender and heterosexual.

If you would like to have a conversation about whether this space feels safe enough for you to step in, please let us know on your intake form and we would be happy to arrange a chat.

We welcome people of all race and colour.

The Facilitation and Care Teams are  predominantly White and we are actively committed to bringing more diversity to the teams.

The demographic of people who come to events at OSHO Leela is primarily White.

Emergent Eros is based in trauma-informed practice and a Culture of Care.

All facilitators are committed to offering safer, inclusive, and trauma-aware,

Our intake process is supporting self awareness, regulation and resource before entering the space for all participants.

This does not mean that we are working on healing trauma. If you are in active trauma then this event would potentially be too stimulating, too overwhelming, and with too large a group for your specific needs. We recommend seeking individual support that can be paced to your unique journey.

We envisage around 120 people at this event; with a maximum of 150.

How to Join

One of the key intentions for the retreat is to provide an unparalleled level of integrity and care. Whilst acknowledging the messy and complex business of being human. In order to support you most fully in this experience, we have created an intake process for all participants.

The intention of this intake process is two-fold. Firstly, it gives you the opportunity to reflect on your own journey with eros, intimacy and embodiment so that you can decide if this is the right event for you. Secondly, it supports us in best supporting you before, during and after the event. It is part of our commitment to a Culture of Care.

Please complete the questions as fully and honestly as you can. The information you provide is held in confidence by Catherine and Gayatri. We may reach out if we have any questions to talk through with you. We want to ensure that you are resourced and ready for this journey.

We are aware that the information that you send to us may be sensitive, so we have a privacy policy in place. This describes how we hold your information in accordance with data protection laws. Click here for our Privacy Policy.
