After a successful launch of the festival in 2018\, the team have been busy making their dreams become a reality. \nBelow is an image of 4 out 5 team members: Kerry\, Mark\, Karolina and Hannah. (Cate is our camera-shy but deeply present fifth member). \n\n\nKerry and Karolina\, having had similar visions for an annual Breathwork event in the UK\, were connected together by a mutual friend. Soon after joined by James and Kath\, “Breathe A Festival of life” has been taking shape ever since\, having a life force of its own. The Breathe team feel honoured to birth this exciting project\, and it has been a joy to collaborate and connect with others along the way. The team was proud to welcome Mark on board during 2019\, Cate in 2021\, and now HUGE welcome to Hannah in 2022\, to support the expansion and growth of the festival.\n\n\n\nWhilst the intention initially was for a smaller gathering\, the collective and longer term vision for Breathe is to host a Breathwork festival\, open and accessible to larger numbers\, from all walks of life. \nWe are really looking forward to welcoming you to this year’s event! \n\n\n\nKerry VeitchKerry has been connected with rebirthing breathwork since 1993 and is a certified practitioner with two different schools. She focuses on embodiment practices such as Internal Family Systems and Eugene Gendlin’s Focusing\, using a trauma informed approach. Kerry is a trainer with AIR School of Breathwork guiding & supporting students through deep personal processes to achieve a qualification in breathwork facilitation. She loves sharing the healing power of the breath with others\, by holding retreats\, weekly online group sessions\, 1:1 sessions\, and her deepest love\, warm water rebirthing.Karolina MikuliczKarolina’s search for a better\, more present life\, lead her to a Loving Relationship Training with the Mother of Rebirthing – Sondra Ray in 2012. That moment changed her\, as for the first time she recognized and experienced the power of the breath. She began extended training\, wishing to share this beautiful gift with others. \nCurrently living in Bournemouth\, born in Poland\, Karolina is a Rebirthing Breathwork and Liberation Breathing Practitioner\, Breath Coach in training\, Meditation Guide\, an event organizer and a co-founder of Breathe A Festival of Life.Mark ConradMark joined the team in 2019. Mark discovered Breathwork in 2006 by experimenting after reading Stan Grof’s books. That begun a wonderful journey with Rebirthing Breathwork that led him to take a long-term voluntary role in the International Breathwork Foundation until 2017. Breathwork communities have been for Mark\, perhaps without exception\, the most truthful\, open and alive that I have been lucky enough to come across.Cate DunneCate is an accredited counsellor/psychotherapist with the BACP\, equine facilitated psychotherapist and a clinical supervisor. One of Cate’s interests in rebirthing breathwork is how it relates to body/muscle trauma memory and the role of the breath in safely facilitating release.Hannah KendaruHannah joined the Breathe team after having a vision for connecting with the UK community of Breathwork Facilitators. She is an Indonesian-British Breathwork therapist and trauma specialist. She is passionate about reclaiming the breath as a radical rebellion against all the ways we have been taught to play it small. She is founder of Inspire Breathwork and The Forest Garden\, an initiative that combines the work of embodied social justice\, decolonial healing and breathwork. DESCRIPTION:Biodanza Summer Festival\nWednesday 5 August – Sunday 9 August 2026\nWelcome to the 20th International Biodanza Festival  \n2006 – 2026 \nwith Niraj and Friends! \nYes\, it is 20 years since I first had the idea to run a multi-day event with different teachers here at Leela!  \nThe first year 28 people came\, followed by 60 then around a hundred\, where it has more or less stayed ever since. \nIn that time many teachers from overseas and the UK have joined us to provide the content that you know and love…good quality vivencias in a spacious and fun programme that provides deep and lasting experiences on the dancefloor and a strong sense of community in the increasingly impressive grounds of The Leela Centre! \nThis year will be no exception. In fact\, it will be exceptional! \nWe’ve added an extra day to mark the occasion (at a mere £30 more than last year!)\, there will be live music performances on two evenings of the festival and the teaching team is expanded to 6\, including the outgoing President of the International governing body (IBFed) Adreina Acri (Italy/Chile) and our wonderful old friend Nataraj (Spain) whom many of you will remember! \nAs always you will be superbly well fed and nourished by the Leela kitchen team with many home grown ingredients from the polytunnels onsite and the legendary Coffee Shop brownies in the breaks. Niraj will top and tail the event\, leading the opening and closing vivencias for everyone in the Marquee and will be your host for the Morning Gatherings where we go through the daily programme. \nHeadline guest teacher this year is outgoing President of the International governing body (IBFed) of Biodanza Andreina Acri (Italy/Chile). We are wonderfully privileged to receive such a prestigious and experienced doyen of Biodanza for her first visit to the festival! \nReturning after a long absence is dear and cherished friend Nataraj Garcia from Spain\, who was an early supporter of the festival and a stalwart of the team that brought Biodanza: Rites of Spring to Leela back in the day and we are delighted to welcome him back! \nAnother new face is Laura Urrutia\, also from Spain’s Basque Country\, a recent graduate from the Vitoria School of Biodanza and partner of Nataraj. \nLarger than life and all round lovable lad Milarepa will once again be adding his inimitable magic to the mix\, both in terms of vivencias and Improv Comedy sessions that have become a feature of recent festivals. \nAnna Sadler made her debut at last year’s festival\, doing her final supervised class to complete her formal training and now joins us as a fully qualified teacher in her own right! A graduate from the most recent cycle of the Dorset School\, Anna was born to do this work and it is an absolute pleasure and gift to have her on team this year. Using the medium of Biodanza\, a series of dance\, movements and exercises that create space for a deep experience within oneself and with others. Each workshop is led as a vivencia\, a space in which words are dropped and the deep wisdom of the body is entered.\nNiraj has been into Biodanza since 1997\, leads the teacher training program\, and is also trained in the Osho Humaniversity training. He also has specialisation certificates to teach Biodanza and the Four Elements\, Biodanza in Nature\, Biodanza and Shamanism\, AquaBiodanza\, Biodanza for Children\, Biodanza and Massage\, Contact Education\, The Heart of Transformation\, the Minotaur Project and the Argonaut Mission. MilarepaAfter a tumultuous first Biodanza experience on the dancefloor in Zorba\, I went on to train in the first cycle of the Dorset School of Biodanza. Since then I have been running a Monday night Biodanza class in Hampshire/Dorset which is now in its 13th year. Alongside this\, I’ve been bringing Biodanza to a growing number of care homes in the area\, specialising in working with people living with dementia.
